Community Highlights
Design Concept: Your own private space at the Ashram...
Inspired by Guruji's message to make every home an Ashram, Sri Sumeru Realty Pvt Ltd (SSRPL) has set out to create a lifestyle option that holistically takes care of all that really matters.
One World Family: Making Life a Celebration!
The aim is to create a community for devotees, which caters to individuals as well as families of varied aspirations and provision of spaces for physical well being as well as exploration of the higher self in a manner that is harmonious with the bountiful nature surrounding the Bangalore Ashram. The community lifestyle shall be vegetarian and free of alcohol and other intoxicants making it a Sattvic Community, that takes care of not just the physical comfort and safety of your family, but also enriches you on the mental, emotional and spiritual planes ... a space where sadhana, seva, satsang and smiles are the rule rather than something that you need to make a special effort to attain!
Vaastu Compliant: Hollow and Empty Within
Spaces have been created based on the guidelines of Vaastu Shaastra. Thus a large 'AANGAN' - a courtyard - has been created with homes arranged around it. This BRAHMA, the heart of the development, is left open and visualized as a safe, community space with greenery and amenities for use by people of all age groups. Extensively landscaped and embellished with interaction spaces, walking tracks, Open Air Theatre etc., this courtyard is envisaged to be a hub of activity. The intent is to encourage community living, sharing and celebrating life.
Further, 100% of the larger units have been laid out as per key principles of Vaastu, yet keeping the building footprint and common areas to a minimum, achieving a difficult and rare balance for an apartment community. The development is LOW-RISE, with only G+3 floors, integrating with the lush green surroundings and retaining an unimpeded view of the Ashram from the surroundings.
Changing the paradigm: You CAN have it all!
Adequate with natural light and ventilation, each home is designed to capture a glimpse of the green within the AANGAN or the landscape of the surrounding farms. The product mix is extensive enough to accommodate the needs and budgets of families or individuals. There is also an interesting mix of units including a penthouse plus exclusive garden on the top floor and units with a private garden on the ground floor.
Striking the right balance between functionality, Vaastu principles and climatological concerns, this design is unique to any living community of this nature. Inmates will enjoy a lavish 70% open space which is one of the highest in a low rise community. Valuable FSI has been sacrificed to achieve a quality relationship between the built and the un-built environment. All provisions of the building norms have been followed to the maximum extent including a spacious 2M corridor and clear 6M clearance all around.
Eco-friendly: Going green without envy!
Green building concepts are being incorporated, which not only reduce running costs 20-30% compared to a typical apartment, but also minimize impact on the environment, both during and after construction. These include water harvesting, recycling of grey water and reuse in gardening, solar water heating, use of local and recycled materials, use of cavity walls on the south and west to reduce heating up of interiors and many such measures. We expect to be able to meet a minimum Gold Rating as per the IGBC/LEEDS Green Building Certification.
Self-sufficient community: Everything at a stone's throw ... or closer!
It also comes with a self-sufficient approach by provision of a convenience store, gymnasium and recreational facilities, multi-purpose community hall, shops with essential services, ATM, wellness center, creche and childrens' play-lots, library, launderette and many useful amenities*. A restaurant with an ethnic ambience and the best of gourmet vegetarian cooking from around the world, golf-cart shuttle to the Ashram campus, bicycles on rent and many other unique features are also planned. Of course, the most important location - the Ashram- is across the road too!
Add-ons: So many things... so little time!
Additionally, a wisdom tree situated in the south west corner is aimed at being a learning zone with ample scope for story telling, book reading and sharing of wisdom through Satsang in an atmosphere similar to that of a village square. The OAT provides a wonderful venue for cultural activities, celebration of festivals or simple evening relaxation. A walking/jogging and cycling track would be a residents' delight for unwinding or starting a rejuvenating day.
